Red Bull Music Academy New York Announces Lineup ft. FKA twigs, George Clinton, A$AP Rocky & More

FKA twigs presents: Congregata in London.

They say third time's a charm, but Red Bull Music Academy Festival has led a charmed lineup for the past three years it has descended upon New York City for the month of May. Last year's second iteration saw such events as a block party to celebrate pioneering DJ Larry Levan, a lecture with the reclusive D'Angelo, and a celebration of mysterious African musician William Onyeabor's music.

This year promises similarly innovative events at venues across the city, including a live performance from eccentric micro-electro-pop collective PC Music and the return of New York DJ Venus X's renowned GHE20GHOT1K party -- which she actually shut down in the spring of last year, pointing a finger at Rihanna for cribbing her style and taking credit for her brand.

Doubtless even Rihanna will deign to check out some of these amazing-sounding events (if not the talk with A$AP Rocky, then definitely Raw Sound Transgression).  Check out the full lineup below and head on over to Red Bull Music Academy's official website for more information and to buy tickets.
