The panel will explore why millions of streams often translate to such a low payback.
"The Streaming Equation" panel is set to take place at Billboard's Latin Music Week 2021, which returns to Miami with a weeklong (Sept. 20-25) event that unites the top Latin hitmakers, influencers and industry leaders, and features live performances and conversations with superstars.
Increasingly, artists and labels chase streams and views. But why do millions of streams often translate to such a low payback?
Presented by Spain’s AIE -- which manages performers’ intellectual property rights, artists, producers and distributors discuss how to properly collect and maximize revenue from public performance -- the panel will feature Puerto Rican artist Pedro Capó, Eric Duars, Duars Entertainment's founder and CEO, José Luis Sevillano, director general/managing director at AIE and producer and composer Julio Reyes Copello. It will be moderated by Ana Gonzalez, managing partner, Innercat Music Group.
