J Balvin is giving fans a vulnerable look into his mental health journey in his new documentary The Boy From Medellín, which premiered on Amazon on Friday (May 7).

The nearly two-hour long documentary shot in 2019 also finds the Colombian superstar preparing for the most important show of his career in his hometown Medellín.

"This is a reality I've personally been through which is anxiety and depression," he says in the documentary, before assuring, "If any of you are also going through a bad moment and don't see the light, let me tell you that it happens to me too."
