A Bronco-inspired series is set to make its debut via Pantaya on Thursday, March 11.

Bronco, La Serie is an adaptation of the book “Cicatrices de un Corazón” written by vocalist Guadalupe Esparza and will focus on the origins Mexican music group Bronco in Latin America.

According to an official synopsis by Pantaya, the 13-episode series will, "[tell] the story of a young man who emerges from extreme poverty with his three friends who tries to gain a foothold in the cutthroat music business by overcoming discrimination and typical obstacles seen in the industry and even their insensitive own manager. On the road to the top, they will endanger what they value the most: holding the reigns of their own lives and the love of their families."

The official trailer released today (March 2) gives fans a first look at the actors that will portray Bronco's original members: Esparza (frontman and founder), Ramiro Delgado, Erick Garza, José Luis "Choche" Villareal and Javier Villareal.

In a career that spans nearly four decades, Bronco became a household name in Mexico, the U.S. and beyond thanks to their modern take on norteñascumbias and melodic pop style that became popular in the early '8os. The group's current five members include Esparza, his two sons (José Adan and René Esparza), Javier Cantú and Arsenio Guajardo.
