Mexican icon Armando Manzanero was honored with an emotional tribute featuring Yuri, Alejandra Guzmán and Lila Downs at Thursday night's (Feb. 18) Premio Lo Nuestro.

With Arthur Hanlon on the piano, Yuri, Guzmán and Downs performed a medley of the maestro's most iconic songs. They started off singing "Voy a Apagar La Luz," followed by a chilling rendition of "Te Extraño" and they closed the set with "Adoro."

Manzanero died at 85 years old in December due to complications from COVID-19. The seminal songwriter wrote some of the most iconic and enduring songs in the Latin American songbook, and his music was performed by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Andrea Bocelli and Luis Miguel.

The 2021 Premio Lo Nuestro are airing live Thursday from Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena via Univision, with Chiquinquirá Delgado, José Ron and Yuri as hosts of the three-hour show.
