Latin Music Week 2020: Watch BMI’s ‘How I Wrote That Song’ Panel With Tainy, Albert Hype, & Jota Rosa

On Friday (Oct. 23), Billboard Latin Music Week showcased BMI’s “How I Wrote That Song” panel powered by BMI.

The discussion, at the helm of Alex Flores, svp, Creative of BMI, counted with the participation of Latin hitmaker Tainy and producers Albert Hype and Jota Rosa from Tainy’s Neon16 Collective.

During the panel, participants delved into producing across multiple genres, the ingredients needed for the perfect writer/producer collaboration, what it takes to transition from producer to artist, and the stories behind some of their biggest hits.

For more than 10 years, the BMI panel has served as a platform for the creators of Latin music to talk about the process of composing, producing, and interpreting their successes. Together, this group of producers has created numerous songs and accumulated a repertoire of continuous hits, helping Latin music to stand out as one of the fastest-growing genres and giving rise to the creation of the golden age of reggaeton.
