Latin Music Week 2020: Carlos Vives & Gustavo Dudamel Set For 'International Stage' Q&A

Colombian star Carlos Vives will be joined by internationally renowned Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, music and artistic director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, in an enlightening conversation on the power of music and the arts as a global agent of change for a better society.

In a Q&A panel titled "From Local Inspiration to International Stage," Vives will sit down with the Los Angeles-based Philharmonic conductor and philanthropist Gustavo Dudamel for a thoughtful conversation on the power of music as a universal equalizer.

The pair will discuss their approach to music education and how they have nurtured local sounds to create international movements. The candid conversation is set to take place virtually at the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Week on its new dates October 20-23.

Vives and Dudamel join other panelists including J Balvin, Rosalía, Sech, Natanael Cano, Ozuna, Cazzu, Rauw Alejandro, Nicki Nicole and Camilo, among others, confirmed for this year's Latin Music Week, which was originally scheduled to take place April 20-23 in Las Vegas, NV and was postponed due to COVID-19.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards 2020 will broadcast live on Oct. 21 via Telemundo, with awards to be given out in 59 categories honoring the top artists, songs, albums, labels, publishers, songwriters and producers of the year.
