Back in February, Billboard announced the finalists for the Billboard Latin Music Awards, originally scheduled for April. The pandemic led to the rescheduling of the awards, which are now taking place Oct. 21 in Miami.

The list of finalists, however, remains unchanged.

Billboard and Telemundo unveiled the finalists for the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards, led by Bad Bunny and Ozuna with 14 nods each. Other top finalists this year include Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Karol G, Calibre 50, Romeo Santos, Marc Anthony, and first-time finalists such as Manuel Turizo, Sech, and Pedro Capo.

Four songs are up for the coveted hot Latin song of the year award, including Bad Bunny and Tainy’s “Callaita,” Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma” featuring Snow, Pedro Capo and Farruko’s “Calma” and Sech’s “Otro Trago (Remix)” featuring Darell, Nicky Jam, Ozuna and Anuel AA. These four tracks are also finalists in the hot Latin song of the year, vocal event category.

In celebration of the upcoming awards, Billboard put together the ultimate Billboard Latin Music Awards playlist, featuring all of the 2020 nominated songs in the following categories: hot Latin song of the year; hot Latin song of the year, vocal event; airplay song of the year; digital song of the year; streaming song of the year; Latin pop song of the year; tropical song of the year, Regional Mexican song of the year, and Latin rhythm song of the year. The Billboard Latin Music Awards 2020 will broadcast live on Oct. 21 via Telemundo, with awards to be given out in 59 categories honoring the top artists, songs, albums, labels, publishers, songwriters and producers of the year.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary as the longest-running and biggest Latin music industry, Latin Music Week 2020 is set to take place October 20-23. This year's festivities will be virtual, and will feature intimate artist conversations, industry panels, workshops and performances. Superstars J Balvin, Black Eyed Peas, Ozuna, Maluma, Rosalía and Carlos Vives will participate in this year's Latin Music Week, a three-day immersive experience dedicated to Latin Music, culture and entertainment.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards, to broadcast live Oct. 21, on Telemundo, are the only ones to honor the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music as determined by the actual sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social data that informs Billboard's weekly charts during a one-year period from the rankings dated February 2, 2019, through this year's January 25 charts. Based on album sales, digital track sales, streaming data and monitored radio airplay provided by Nielsen Music and social media data provided by Next Big Sound, Billboard’s rankings are the world's most authoritative music charts.
