Maluma "11 PM"

Maluma dropped his fourth studio album 11:11 on May 17, which includes the infectious opening track “11 PM,” a song whose sultry melodies and persuasive lyrics really shed light on the artist’s musical growth.

This week, “11 PM” hit No. 1 on two Billboard charts, with the urban bop moving 6-1 on Latin Airplay and reigning the Latin Pop Airplay chart dated Nov. 23.

The Colombian artist celebrated his career milestone on Instagram by sharing a small video and captioning it: “This is how my wonderful Monday ends. '11 PM' is the #1 song in the Latin chart of Billboard in the United States. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, without you, [there’s] NOTHING!”

The lyrics in “11 PM” suggest to not cry over someone who isn't worth it, because there will always be someone who will make you happy.

11 at night she doesn’t answer
1 in the morning, still no answer
2 in the morning, she says she’s available
3 in the morning, I have a proposal

How can I make you understand
That you look better with me
That you look better in my car
The room smells like Christian Dior
You’re too beautiful to cry for him
He doesn’t deserve you to be faithful
Nor your skin

Baby

How can I make you understand
That you look better with me
That you look better in my car
The room smells like Christian Dior
You’re too beautiful to cry for him
He doesn’t deserve you to be faithful
Nor your skin

He’s not going to miss you
He’s not going to think about you either
He says he’s busy with more important things
The cloud that’s blocking the sun from shining
Don’t let him turn you off
Don’t let him turn you off

How can I make you understand
That you look better with me
That you look better in my car
The room smells like Christian Dior
You’re too beautiful to cry for him
He doesn’t deserve you to be faithful
Nor your skin

11 at night she doesn’t answer
1 in the morning, still no answer
2 in the morning, she says she’s available
3 in the morning, I have a proposal

How can I make you understand
That you look better with me
That you look better in my car
The room smells like Christian Dior
You’re too beautiful to cry for him
He doesn’t deserve you to be faithful
Nor your skin

Baby

How can I make you understand
That you look better with me
That you look better in my car
The room smells like Christian Dior
You’re too beautiful to cry for him
He doesn’t deserve you to be faithful
Nor your skin
