Watch Jesse & Joy Reveal Their Dream Collaborations & Sing Their New Tune With Luis Fonsi

Mexican brother-sister duo Jesse & Joy sat down with Billboard ahead of the 2019 Latin Grammys to play "Fishing For Answers," and they chatted about dream collaborations, shared some advice for this year’s best new artist nominees, and sang a bit of their new single with Luis Fonsi.

Pulling questions from a fish bowl, the pair were first asked what their favorite restaurant in Mexico City is. “That's a tough one,” replies Joy. “Mexico City has so many good restaurants, but we were born and raised in Mexico City so literally, the favorite Mexican restaurant is the one at home.” They also point out that because Jesse’s wife is a chef, they get the best Mexican cuisine at his house.

The next question wonders what their favorite song is at the moment. In lieu of responding with a song title, they choose to sing a few lines from “Tanto,” their new song with Fonsi.

When asked which artist, living or dead, would be their dream collaboration, Joy chooses Selena, while Jesse picks Celia Cruz.

The pair, who are previous best new artist winners at the Latin Grammys, were asked what advice they might have for this year’s nominees. They note that getting a nomination in that category is one of the most important ones.

“If you are nominated, there are a lot of people and artists and people in the industry that are vouching for you and they feel that you are a promise of something huge coming,” explains Jesse.
