Romeo Santos receives four Guinness World Record titles

Anthony Santos (best known as Romeo Santos) has been presented as the latest addition to the Guinness World Records. The Dominican-American star earned four titles including the most year-end- best-selling albums in the tropical albums chart by a solo artist with three:  Formula: Vol. 1 in 2012, Formula: Vol. 2 in 2014 and Golden in 2017; most years with a number one album on the Billboard Tropical Albums end of year chart for a solo artist (5) in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018; most consecutive weeks on a Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart (125) with “Propuesta Indecente” and most years with a number one album on the Billboard Tropical Albums end of year chart in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018 achieved and tied with the Dominican band, Aventura.

A Fan Impresses Karol G with Her Dance Skills

Karol G was impressed by a fan.  The Colombian singer shared on Instagram a video from her concert in Portland, Oregon, which shows the moment when she found a girl dancing to all her songs and decided to bring her up onstage. “I saw her dancing and singing.”  Karol wrote, adding, “She was the queen of the night.”

 

Camilo performs at Billboard Live

On Monday, October 21, Colombian singer and former artist on the rise Camilo stopped by Billboard studios in New York City to perform “No Te Vayas,” “La Boca” and “Tutu.” Camilo arrived with his guitar and played an acoustic version of the songs during the 15-minute Billboard live, which was streamed only on the Billboard Latin social media. 

 

Kany García wraps Soy Yo tour in Puerto Rico

Singer-songwriter Kany García wrapped up her Soy Yo tour in Coliseo de Puerto Rico. The concert marked García’s second sold-out show in less than a year at the same venue.  Her list of special guests included Tommy Torres, Ednita Nazario, Vanesa Martin and Tito Auger (vocalist of Fiel A La Vega).  This year, Kany García is a three-time nominee for the 2019 Latin Grammys.  See photos below:
