Latin AMAs 2019: Taboo and Piso 21 Discuss Working Like 'Brothers'

Following his surprise performance alongside Piso 21 during Billboard En Vivo Tuesday night (Oct. 15), Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas walked the carpet with the Colombian quartet at the 2019 Latin AMas.

There to perform with the group on their new single, "Mami," Taboo, whose parents are Mexican, spoke in perfect Spanish. “I’m connected with my indigenous roots,” he said. “I’m half Native American and half Mexican and I support all native peoples around the world.”

As for his collaboration with Piso 21, members of the group recounted how they all met at will.i.am’s studio. “More than working together, we found brothers. We found real people,” they said. "We learned from Black Eyed Peas the importance of staying humble."

“I learned we have a connection as if we were brothers,” added Taboo.
