Lionel Messi of Barcelona celebrates during the Group B match of the UEFA Champions League between PSV and FC Barcelona at Philips Stadion on Nov. 28, 2018 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

The soundtrack to the show, debuting Oct. 10 in Barcelona, will include soccer fan favorites and Latin hits.

Messi10, the upcoming Cirque du Soleil show based on the life of Argentine soccer superstar Lionel Messi, is set for a run in Buenos Aires in June 2020, Billboard can confirm. The news was first published on the front page of Argentina’s Clarin newspaper on Sunday (Aug. 18).

Cirque’s Messi10, a co-production with Buenos Aires concert and entertainment promoter and record label PopArt, will premiere in Oct. 10 in Barcelona. (Famously, Messi plays for Fútbol Club Barcelona, wearing the number 10 jersey).

Buenos Aires is the second city to be announced on a planned five-year global tour of the show, which will be structured like a soccer game in two 45-minute periods with a half-time in between.

Sony Music is the musical partner for the show, whose soundtrack will include new versions of pop hits that have become stadium anthems as well as current songs by well-known Latin music artists.
