“Daddy Yankee is not a singer, Daddy Yankee is a movement.” With that statement, the Puerto Rican singer celebrated 15 years since the release of his third studio album Barrio Fino -- a 21-track production, including the reggaeton classic “Gasolina,” that ultimately put the genre on the map in the early 2000s.

“Thank you for celebrating with me 15 years of Barrio Fino,” Yankee expressed on Instagram on Saturday (July 13). “An album that changed the culture around the world, an album that broke frontiers, a game changer in the music industry and an album that opened the doors for the Reggaeton music and el Movimiento Urbano around the globe.”

Barrio Fino debuted at No. 1 on the Top Latin Albums chart dated July 31, 2004. It remained at the top for only one week and dropped to No. 4 the following. The title returned to No. 1 in its 24th-week frame where it remained for another 23 nonconsecutive weeks (and a total of 24 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1).

In celebration of the album released in July 2004, Billboard wants to know: what’s your favorite song from Barrio Fino? Vote below!
