Eduardo del Pilar joins Ingrooves
Ingrooves has announced that Latin music veteran Eduardo “Edup” del Pilar will join the company’s Latin division, effective immediately, where he will focus on business development and A&R in Latin territories around the world. In his newly created role, del Pilar will remain based in his native home of Puerto Rico and report to Amy Dietz, Ingrooves executive vice president/general manager. “Over the years Eduardo has built an impressive body of work and gained the respect of the music industry around the world,” Dietz said. “Having him in Puerto Rico, leading a growing segment of our business, will enable us to continue to expand our footprint in Latin music both domestically and abroad. We’re thrilled to have him on Ingrooves’ team.”
Soulfrito Music Festival lineup
Ozuna, Farruko, Arcangel, El Alfa and Farina have been confirmed to perform at Soulfrito Musin Festival on Aug. 30 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The one-night-only concert will also feature rising artists such as Myke Towers, Guaynaa, Chimbala and more.
Carlos Rivera Celebrates 15 years in music
Mexican singer Carlos Rivera celebrated 15 years in music with 11 sold-out shows at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. Rivera is one of the few artists who can declare that over the years, his success has only increased. Sony Music Mexico CEO Roberto López presented the artist with new sales certifications for his songs: “Que Lo Nuestro Se Quede Nuestro,” triple platinum; “Cómo Pagarte,” double platinum; “Otras Vidas,” platinum and gold; “Lo Digo,” platinum; “Regrésame Mi Corazón,” platinum; “Sería Más Fácil,” gold; and “Te Esperaba,” gold.
Pepe Aguilar adds more date to Jaripeo Sin Fronteras tour
Cardenas Marketing Network has announced that Jaripeo Sin Fronteras 2019 is adding two additional tour dates at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., on Sept. 1, and SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., on Sept. 29. Mexican legend Paquita La Del Barrio will join the Aguilar dynasty for the remainder of the tour. The announcement comes after a packed house in Oakland, Calif., this past weekend.
