Romeo Santos' Metlife concert tickets are going fast.

Live Nation has confirmed that the Dominican-American singer sold over 30,000 tickets during his first week of sales which began with a pre-sale on Tuesday, June 4. Santos will be the first Latin artist to perform at New Jersey's Metlife Stadium, which has a maximum capacity of 80,000 people.

"Tickets for the performance are going at a record breaking pace and this is going to be a truly epic show for everyone to be part of," remarked Hans Schafer, head of Live Nation Latin, to Billboard.

Back in 2014, Santos played two sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, the first time in more than 40 years that a Latin artist had headlined the iconic ballpark. The Fania All-Stars last did so in 1973, at the original Yankee Stadium. And now, he has accepted the challenge to perform his biggest hits and tracks from his most recent album Utopia at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

"The success of The Golden Tour solidifies Romeo Santos as one of the most in-demand Latin acts, and that continues with his history-making show at MetLife Stadium," Hans said.
