Romeo Santos is serious when it comes to pranks, especially during April Fool's Day.

This year was no exception; on Monday morning (April 1), the Dominican-American singer got fans excited after announcing he was releasing a new song called “Inmortal” with Aventura, the band that he belonged before going solo.

Santos later posted a video apologizing to all his fans, explaining the announcement of the new song was an April Fool's Day joke. “I want to apologize with all my fans for the ‘heavy’ prank I did,” Santos said in the video. “I am not releasing a new single with Aventura tonight.”

Meanwhile, Santos has been giving hints about a new project called Utopia.
