Sebastian Yatra has renewed his record agreement with Universal Music Latin Entertainment and management agreement with Global Talent Services (GTS), Billboard can exclusively reveal.

The long-term deal will encompass on one side music recording, marketing strategy, and distribution, while on another level, deal with the planning of touring and brand partnerships, to name a few. Together, UMLE and GTS will join efforts to steer Yatra’s recording, touring and business ventures, in its entirety, for years to come.

"I would like to thank Sebastián for his confidence and support toward all of our initiatives which we initialized together from day one of our partnership that which we are now extending," Jesús López, Chairman & CEO of Universal Music Latin America & Iberian Peninsula said in a statement. "Sebastián has demonstrated throughout the years that teamwork makes the road much easier and especially coming from the hands of Aníbal, Adela and Roberto who have been fundamental to the great success that he has attained. His talent and hard work will mark an important era in Latin music at a global scale and together we will be able to enjoy it for years to come."

The Colombian singer, who signed with Universal in 2016, also expressed his excitement, stating, "I'm very happy to be able to renew my contract with Universal Music, to which I am very grateful for their faith and efforts. I hope that there are many more years to come of dreaming big and taking risks to make the music that fills my heart. Renewing means new goals and I feel that we are ready to take on anything that comes our way. I am taking this step with immense gratitude, dedication, and faith."

Earlier this week, Yatra announced the good news to his fans on his Instagram. On the photo caption, Yatra hashtagged his upcoming studio album Fantasía, launching April 12. The forthcoming production will be home to 12 new Latin pop/ballad songs, including his collaboration with Reik, "Un Año."

In light of his sophomore studio album, the renewal of his record and management agreement is focused on further energizing Yatra's stronghold of the Latin pop landscape by expanding his recorded music and live strategy to a global audience.
