Pepe Aguilar kicks off the year with the return of the Jaripeo Sin Fronteras tour, announcing new dates in Mexico and the U.S. exclusively on Billboard Monday (March 18).

The family-friendly concert counts with performances by Pepe Aguilar, Angela Aguilar, Leonardo Aguilar, Antonio Aguilar Jr., Banda Sinaloense, Mariachi Zacatecano, rodeo acts, horse shows, charreria competition, bull riders, special musical guests and more.

“It’s basically a modular concept, where you can change the pieces,” Aguilar tells Billboard of the family touring tradition that he adapted in recent years. “The fundamental parts are the horse shows and the Mexican traditions. In some cities we’ll have special guests, in others, only the family is going to perform.”

Joining the lineup is Aguilar’s 15-year-old daughter and Grammy-nominee Angela, who has been a part of the Jaripeo Sin Fronteras tour since she was little. “She’s very happy, for her this is a safe environment,” Aguilar said. “Now that she’s doing shows on her own and she sees that she has a long way to go, she appreciates working with the family more. We love to see her work with her brother, Leonardo, their performance is very natural.”

The tour is unique in its own way, combining traditional equestrianism with the latest technology, such as video, lasers, lights, and special effects or as Pepe describes it, “a rock concert but with traditional content.” Pepe, who rides several of his Andalusian horses in his own equestrian performance, also specifies that no animals are hurt during this tour.
