Alejandro Sanz attends his new single 'No Tengo Nada' presentation at Espacio Harley on Nov. 30, 2018 in Madrid, Spain.

After a short hiatus, Alejandro Sanz made his comeback to the music scene with “No Tengo Nada,” a heartfelt ballad released in 2018 that marked the first single from his forthcoming album due this spring.

While promoting his track, Sanz teased some features to Billboard. "The album has many collaborations with young people that I love very much and will present different types of music,” he said without giving too many spoilers.

Now Sanz has officially announced his next single will be in collaboration with urban artist Nicky Jam. “This is #BackInTheCity cover with @nickyjampr,” he surprised his fans on Instagram. “Finally this Thursday at 10 p.m. (Spanish local time) I will share it with all of you!”

Speculating that this will be an urban track, some fans shared mixed feelings in the comments, though this isn’t the first time Sanz has dipped his toes in other uptempo genres. In fact, we’ve heard flairs of urban in songs such as Shakira’s “La Tortura” and Paty Cantú’s “Cuenta Pendiente,” both featuring Sanz.
