Anitta Gives Language Lesson, Talks Brazilian Culture in 'Growing Up Latino' Episode

In the newest episode of Billboard's Growing Up Latino series, singer Anitta details her life as a girl in Brazil.

The video starts with Anitta discussing how the Brazilians have been separated from the Latin countries because of their main language, which is Portuguese. But despite the difference, she really identifies as Latina.

Her guilty pleasure food-wise is feijoada, a special stew that is very hard to find outside of Brazil.

Anitta also gives fans a little Portuguese slang lesson. The first word is babado, which means, “Oh, my God.” “That word can be used for anything,” she says. Also, instead of saying maravilloso ("wonderful"), they just say mara in Brazil.

As for Anitta’s favorite Spanish-language word? You'll just have to watch the episode above to find out.
