Fonseca performs onstage during the 2016 Person of the Year honoring Marc Anthony at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Nov. 16, 2016 in Las Vegas.

With the crowd jamming to songs such as “Eres Mi Sueño” and “Por Pura Curiosidad,” Fonseca recently wrapped the East Coast dates of his Simples Corazones tour and is now getting ready to take the West Coast by storm.

“There’s a lot of things coming in 2019,” he tells Billboard Latin just before his final gig at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami with special guest Bacilos. “The other part of my tour is coming, where we will be going to the West Coast, Texas, Europe, Colombian, and Central America,” he assures.

For those who have yet to see Fonseca live, you're in for a real treat. The Colombian singer, although balancing his singing career with fatherhood, really knows how to put on a show. His Miami concert on Thursday night (Nov. 29), for example, was filled with an energetic crowd that did not sit once during Bacilos' or Fonseca's set.

Some of the night's highlights included Luis Enrique joining Bacilos on stage to sing "Yo No Se Mañana," the audience getting emotional to Fonseca's heartfelt song "Prometo," and all of the Colombian pride that filled the venue when the vallenato accordion began to sound.

In addition to the tour, Fonseca has had an exceptional 2018, including a Latin Grammy nomination, a new album and the birth of his third child, Augustin. “It’s been very significant to me, a year to continue building and working,” he says. “It’s been a very profitable year.”

As he prepares to continue visiting fans around the world, here are Fonseca’s three favorite moments from the East Coast swing of his Simples Corazones tour.

The Miami Show

“Miami, because of the location. The AmericanAirlines Arena is a place I always wanted to perform in. I always come with music festivals or awards shows, but coming here with my own show and Bacilos is a dream come true.”

The Orlando Show at House of Blues

“In Orlando, we had a fun situation. They told me about a man that wanted to propose to his girlfriend, but he was in another country [Australia] and we connected them through Facetime. It was a special moment.”

The Atlanta Show at Tabernacle

“We played at a place called ‘Tabernacle,’ which is an emblematic venue in Georgia and it was also a very special moment.”
