Anuel AA’s phenomenal comeback story continued this week with the kickoff of his first U.S. tour. The Puerto Rican trap star launched his Real Hasta La Muerte (Real Until Death) Tour Nov. 2 with a sold-out show at Chicago’s Rosemont Theater. The tour will continue with stops in 16 cities, where Anuel will play a mix of theaters and arenas, including three sold out dates at New York’s Palace Theater.

Considering Anuel was only released from prison in June, after serving out a full three-year sentence, and that he has never toured before, the speed in which the Real Hasta La Muerte Tour was routed, sold and executed is impressive.

“And what’s really surprising is, he has pulled off the type of show that gives fans all his hits and [is] also something very different visually and production-wise,” says David LaPointe of management and concert promotion company La Commission, which he heads with Artie Pabon. La Commission is producing and promoting the tour with Real Hasta La Muerte, Anuel’s company with manager Frabian Carrion. It is co-promoted by Zamora Live.

“We are definitely raising the bar for trap,” added LaPointe.
