Anitta Reveals She & Camila Cabello Have Discussed Collaborating at the 2018 Latin AMAs: Watch

Anitta spoke with Billboard’s Leila Cobo on Thursday (Oct. 25) on the red carpet at the 2018 Latin American Music Awards, chatting about female empowerment, a possible collaboration with Camila Cabello and more.

In light of the event being hosted only by females, Anitta tells Billboard that she thinks it is “amazing to give voice” to the women. “Sometimes people don’t realize how different it is when you are a woman in this business,” she adds, “And I’m really happy to be a part of this.”

Asked who her next Latin collaborations will be with, the singer replies, “Well, my next collab is going out tomorrow with Greeicy [Rendón], she’s a Colombian singer…and then it’s me with myself.”

On the subject of musical team-ups, Anitta also hints that she and Camila Cabello might be hopping on a song together, revealing that they have been talking about working together, and that she hopes it happens.

“Camila’s amazing,” she says of the “Havana” singer. “She’s a really good friend, she’s pretty, she’s [a] cute, sweet girl, and she was in Brazil performing and invited me for her concert, it was amazing. All her fans got crazy.”
