Luis Fonsi to Join Spain's La Voz as Coach

The 'Despacito' star joins Paulina Rubio, Pablo López and Antonio Orozco on the TV musical competition.

Luis Fonsi will be a coach on the upcoming season of Spain’s La Voz Senior competition, joining Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio and Spain’s Pablo López and Antonio Orozco on the judging panel.

The musical reality show’s juvenile division, La Voz Kids, will be coached by David Bisbal, Melendi, Rosario Flores and Vanesa Martín.

Fonsi was featured as an advisor to Bisbal on a previous season of La Voz Spain. He also appeared on La Voz Colombia and Ecuador as an advisor, and in 2013 was an advisor on the American The Voice Kids. This will be his first go around as a coach.

La Voz airs on Spain’s Antena 3. The network also announced today (Oct. 23) that former the former host of the immensely popular cooking show MasterChef, Eva Gonzalez, will be the presenter of this season’s La Voz. The announcement on the channel’s website added that viewers should stay tune for an announcement on Oct. 29 that would reveal more details about the upcoming 2018 season.
