The Latin Trap artist's account was hacked early Friday (Sept. 14), according to his spokesperson.

Anuel AA’s fans were in for a big surprise on Friday (Sept. 14) when the singer’s Instagram account went missing, along with all his recent posts and more than 7.1 million followers. According to his official spokesperson, Anuel’s account was taken down by hackers in the wee hours of Friday morning, Billboard has learned. That same day, Karol G dropped her highly anticipated single “Culpables” featuring the Latin trap artist.

The Instagram account and all of its followers are back, but a rep for Anuel says he hasn't recovered the account yet. The unexpected hack came amid the controversy over the Puerto Rican singer recording a nearly nine-minute "tiraera" (diss track) called "Intocable," meant for his music rival Cosculluela.

The strong and offensive lyrics -- which included a negative reference to the LGBTQ community and slut-shamed a famous female model who is HIV positive -- led to the cancellation of his first show in Puerto Rico’s Coliseo on Oct. 12.

"I do not support, nor do I sympathize with the Anuel’s expressions and for this reason, I have decided to retire as producer of his concert,” said Paco Lopez, No Limit Entertainment president and producer, in a press statement. Anuel AA has since released a video giving his fans and Puerto Ricans an apology, calling this the worst mistake of his career.
