Jorge Luis Chacín Signs Global Publishing Deal With peermusic

Jorge Luis Chacín has signed a global publishing deal with peermusic, Kathy Spanberger, president & chief operating officer Anglo American Region and Julio Bagué, vice president Latin division, East Coast & Puerto Rico, have officially announced.

"Jorge Luis is one of the first writers who caught my attention when I began at peermusic, and after working on many projects together I’m excited to welcome him back," said Julio Bagué. "He's built a solid catalog and Yvonne and I are eager to help him continue to globalize his reach in this new phase of his career."

The Venezuelan singer-songwriter recently released his latest album Contento y en Vivo, produced by Julio Bagué and Chacín, which includes multiple co-writes by Chacín as well as several tracks from the catalog. As part of the deal, peermusic will publish all of Chacín’s writer interests in the album.

Jorge Luis Chacín first rose to prominence as songwriter and music producer for the group Guaco. As a songwriter, Chacín’s music has been recorded by artists including Thalia, Prince Royce, Ricardo Montaner, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Ricardo Arjona, Victor Manuelle and Tito Nieves, among others. He’s co-written music for soap operas including the song “Bésame,” which charted in the US and won a BMI Award in 2003.
