CNCO, J Balvin, Camila Cabello and More Latin Stars Celebrate 2018 Teen Choice Awards Wins

Among the winners at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards were some well-deserving Latin acts.

CNCO nabbed the title for Choice Latin Artist, beating out Becky G, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Luis Fonsi, and Maluma. The group sang a part of their new single “Se Vuelve Loca” before receiving the award from In Real Life.

“Thank you so much, this is incredible,” said member Joel Pimentel. “This is our first surfboard ever and we want to thank our family, Sony, our team, and especially our amazing fans without you we wouldn’t be here. We love you so much.” Richard Camacho also expressed how proud and honored they felt to be representing Latinos. (You can check out the band's speech below.)

CNCO was also nominated for Choice Latin Song with “Hey DJ,” Choice Fandom for #CNCOwners, and Choice International Artists. 

 

J Balvin took home the title for Choice Latin Song with “Familiar” in collaboration with Liam Payne, winning over “Boom Boom” (RedOne, Daddy Yankee, French Montana, and Dinah Jane), “Dinero” (Jennifer Lopez ft. DJ KhaledCardi B), “Echame la Culpa” (Luis Fonsi, Demi Lovato), “Hey DJ” (CNCO, Yandel), and his own “Mi Gente” with Willy William.

Meanwhile, the Disney animated film Coco took home the Teen Choice Award surfboard for Choice Fantasy Movie Actor, Anthony Gonzalez, and Choice Fantasy Movie.

Other Latin winners of the night included Camila Cabello, who won Choice Female Artist, Choice Summer Female Artist, and Choice Song: Female Artist for “Havana.” Cardi B nabbed the title for Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Artist, Selena Gomez who took home Choice Summer Song for “Back To You,” and former Fifth Harmony member, Lauren Jauregui, who won Choice Female Hottie and Choice Electronic/Dance Song for “All Night” with Steve Aoki.

The 2018 Teen Choice Awards, hosted by Nick Cannon and Lele Pons, took place Sunday night (Aug. 12) at the Forum in Los Angeles, where teens' favorite artists in music, movies, TV, and sports were honored.
