Carlos Vives, "Hoy Tengo Tiempo"

Carlos Vives has been blessing us with traditional vallenato and cumbia sounds since the beginning of his music career in 1986.

For the past 33 years, his songs such as “La Gota Fria” and “Tierra del Olvido” have become timeless pieces that transcend generations.

Staying relevant but true to his musical background, the Colombian singer has experimented with champeta, rock, Latin pop, reggaeton, and mambo, as heard in his 2018 single “Hoy Tengo Tiempo.”

Wednesday (Aug. 7) marks Vives’ 58th birthday, and to honor his renowned trajectory in music, Billboard has put together 10 of his best music videos from 1993 to 2019.

If there’s one thing you should know when traveling back in time with the clips, it's that Vives -- jean shorts or no jean shorts -- never ages!
