Jennifer Lopez, Luis Miguel, Enrique Iglesias, Santana to Celebrate Mexican Independence Day in Las Vegas

Banda MS and Romeo Santos will also be part of the September Latin artist “take over."

Jennifer Lopez, Luis Miguel, Enrique Iglesias and Carlos Santana will be among artists playing Las Vegas the week of Mexican Independence Day, which falls on September 16.

Week-long “El Grito” festivities just announced by city officials will celebrate Mexican culture as they showcase Las Vegas’ current stature as the center of powerhouse Latin entertainment. The Mexican Independence Day week “take over” of Las Vegas venues includes shows by Lopez, in residence at Planet Hollywood (Sept. 12, 14 and 15); Iglesias at Caesars Palace (Sept. 15-16); Mexican groups Banda MS and Caifanes at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino (Sept. 14) and Santana at the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay (Sept. 12 and 14-16 and Sept. 19).   

Romeo Santos will perform at MGM Grand on Sept. 15, and Alejandro Fernández is booked for the Mandalay Bay Events Center on the same night. Chayanne is set to appear at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan on Sept. 14.

Comedians Gabriel Iglesias (at The Mirage, Sept. 15-16) and Felipe Esparza (at Hard Rock Hotel on Sept. 14), and a boxing match in which Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin face off on Sept. 15 at the T-Mobile Arena are also on the program.
