CNCO at Billboard Latin Music Awards: 'This Is a Dream We All Had Since We Were Little'

CNCO caught up with Billboard’s Griselda Flores and Justino Aguila on the red carpet at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday (April 26) to chat about their success as a band and who they are most looking forward to meeting at the event.

Discussing how the group is able to work so well together, member Richard Camacho said: “That’s the crazy part about CNCO, it's five different minds, five different cultures, so it’s so hard to get five minds together. But we’ve managed to cope with each other and understand each other.”

“Throughout these two years, we’ve learned a lot from each other,” he continues, “so it’s been a little easier and we’re just very blessed for everything that’s happening, enjoying the journey together and dreaming together. This is a dream that we all had since we were little, so why not enjoy the ride and just do it as brothers?”

Asked who they were most looking forward to meeting at the show, Joel Pimentel highlighted Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam and J Balvin. As for who they would love to collaborate with one day? “I would say any artist that’s here tonight,” he exclaimed.

In the interview, Camacho also reflected on the success the band has seen, saying that in just a few year as a unit, people have embraced them and their music. Today, people “feel very comfortable listening to our song and dancing to it, and we’re just very happy.”
