Residente Tells You the One Thing on His Mind in New Video with Dillon Francis: 'Sexo'

Let’s talk about sex. Or at least lets let Residente and Dillon Francis talk about sex in Residente’s new single and video, bluntly titled “Sexo."

The song – and video — are a marked departure from the fare on the Calle 13 rapper's 2017 eponymous debut solo album. Instead, “Sexo” talks about sex in a joyful, all inclusive (the lyrics are intentionally gender-neutral), G-rated manner, with throngs of people of every color, stripe, sex and size engaging in what Residente deems the world’s favorite activity.

“They put makeup on because they want sex, buy clothes because they want sex, perfume because they want sex, asks for her number because they want sex,” he raps in the song, which runs down the long list of things people do when trying to hook up.

“Everybody in the end wants sex,” says Residente, who directed the primary color-splashed video in Colombia.
