Princess Nokia's New Radio Show Is a Play on Her New York Roots & Puerto Rican Heritage

Remember those emo days in high school? Get ready for a dose of music-evoked nostalgia, courtesy of Harlem rapper Princess Nokia. A quirky collection of personally curated radio shows, "The Voices In My Head With Princess Nokia" will air in over 100 countries, every other Sunday at 12:00 p.m. PT, on Beats 1 starting this Sunday (Feb. 18). 

The Nuyorican kicks off season one with “Your Eyes Are Bleeding," a personal homage to all things emo and pop-punk. Listeners will learn how Nokia fell in love with the genres and how it helped mold her into the eccentric artist she is today. Expect to jam out to music from Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance and Blink-182, plus more.

Subsequent seasons will feature social commentary, deeply personal anecdotes and discourse on varied musical tastes by Princess Nokia herself. Watch a preview here:
