Ozuna Proves That Cardi B Is More Than a Rapper on 'La Modelo'

For this week’s edition of Billboard’s How It Went Down video series, Puerto Rican urban singer Ozuna explains how his song “La Modelo” with Cardi B was born.

“I had the track already with my Producer Yampi, we made it in Panama,” Ozuna said. Then, both thought that a woman's voice would be the ideal complement to the song and, of course, who better than Ozuna’s friend Cardi B -- who wasn't sure if she was able to be more than a rapper.

On the Billboard Hot 100, “La Modelo” debuted at No. 52 on the chart dated Jan. 6. On the Hot Latin Songs chart, it peaked at No. 3 for three consecutive weeks, where it currently stands at No. 6.
