The show based on the music of Argentine rock band Soda Stereo comes to the United States after breaking all-time box office records in Argentina and a successful tour in Latin America.

Sep7imo Día - No Descansaré, the eye-popping, wildly successful Cirque du Soleil show based on the music of legendary Argentinian band Soda Stereo is set for a run in April at Miami’s Watsco Theater and in Los Angeles at The Forum, according to Cirque’s website and a video the global producer of acrobatic spectacles published on Twitter. The specific dates and ticket information have not yet been announced.

Sep7imo Día premiered this past March in Argentina, where it was seen by an estimated 530,000 people and broke all-time box office records. The show was performed 73 times at Buenos Aires’ Luna Park and was presented 14 times in Cordoba.

Over 100 performers and technicians have been on the road with the huge production, with 20 trucks carting the technical equipment -- which includes a custom crafted stage -- throughout Latin America. Sép7imo Día has also been staged in Peru, where it ran for 14 shows, Chile, where it was presented 20 times, and Colombia, where the run was 21 shows. Currently, it is playing in Mexico: the show premiered in Guadalajara on Wednesday night (Nov. 8) and next goes to Mexico City, where a 28 show run is scheduled.

“Cirque du Soleil has been surprised,” Matías Loizaga of Argentine promoter Pop Art, Cirque’s partner in the production, told Buenos Aires’ Clarin newspaper. "The tickets sellout in record time.” The show is the fourth musical artist tribute staged by the company, after shows inspired by music of The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.

The Miami and Los Angeles runs will be the first stagings in the United States. The 2018 Sep7imo Día tour also includes Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Paraguay.
