Snow Tha Product

Snow Tha Product is one of a growing number of women rappers venturing to emerge autonomously in a male-dominated industry. The Mexican-American rapper from Texas carries a machete in her mouth, and ping-pongs between English and Spanish-language rhymes nearly perfectly.

Years of crafting her voice as an active member of her local underground scene of hip-hop and urban Latin led  Snow Tha Product to tour on the strength of her word, nabbing hip-hop veterans Tech N9ne and Immortal Technique as mentors and signing with Atlantic Records.

She released her first independent album Unorthodox in 2011, while readying her formal major label debut Half Way There...Pt. 1, released in 2016. The latter EP, an eight-track project where she rigorously switches between sharpened rhymes and vibrant melodic hooks, holds the potential fan-favorite “Nuestra Cancion.”

Before getting redone as "Nuestra Cancion Pt. 2"  and earning vocals from reggaeton luminary Arcangel, the Spanish-language record had all the nuts and bolts of an irresistible hit -- the result of a true-to-life love gone awry.

“I made the song in like 30-45 minutes in my living room. I was drinking and really in my feelings,” she admits to Billboard. “I was just really heartbroken and venting about it. When I presented it to Play-N-Skillz at the studio, right away he knew it had a lot of potential.”

After Snow’s A&R suggested a feature to bolster the song, Arcangel’s name im-mediately came up; the veteran is a champion of promising up-and-comers. “I’ve always been very adamant about collaborating with artists who like to lift other artists, and Arcangel has a track record of putting people on,” explains Snow, born Claudia Feliciano.
The track’s visual finds Arcangel and Snow Tha Product trading soft smirks at an undisclosed dance club, somewhere in the outskirts of New Jersey. Premiering exclusively on Billboard, let Snow show you a thing or two about the art of getting over in the official video for “Nuestra Cancion Pt. 2,” featuring Arcangel.

Snow Tha Product just announced her 30-date Vibe Higher Tour that will include stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles and more. Earlier this year, she was featured on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Immigrants (We Get The Job Done),” whose video that was honored at the VMAs in the category of Best Fight Against The System. In her acting debut this year, Snow landed a multi-episode cameo on the current season of USA’s hit series Queen of The South
