Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin & More Collecting Donations to Help Puerto Rico Hurricane Recovery Efforts

After hurricanes Irma and Maria, the island of Puerto Rico has been totally destroyed and without communication with the whole world. Thousands of people have lost their homes and the whole country has lost electricity and it is estimated that it will take six months or more to recover.

This tragedy has brought together music superstars, who have taken the internet to ask their fans to donate and help survivors of the hurricanes.

From Jennifer Lopez to Ricky MartinResidente and more, here are some of the artists who are helping out and asking their fans to do the same. 

Ricky Martin

Martin is collecting donations via a YouCaring crowdfunding page, telling his fans, "I decided to create this page to collect funds to provide the basic needs and rebuild all that was lost."

Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony & Luis Fonsi

Lopez, Anthony and Fonsi joined the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló, to collect funds at the government site Unidos Por Puerto Rico.

 

Ricardo Arjona

Arjona joined the Maestro Cares Foundation to donate part of the proceeds from his concert in Houston to the American Red Cross.

 

Residente

The artist née Rene Pérez is using GoFundMe to collect donations.
