J Balvin & Willy William’s “Mi Gente” video has passed 400 million views on YouTube.

With its new milestone, the clip becomes the third-fastest music video to reach that figure, behind Adele’s “Hello” (26 days) and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You" (46 days), according to a spokesperson for YouTube. "Mi Gente” also becomes the fastest-ever Latin video to reach that benchmark, hitting the mark in 47 days.

You may be wondering when that other hit Latin video that you may have heard of -- you know, "Despacito" -- crossed the 400 million global view mark on YouTube. A representative for YouTube says it took Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's smash 51 days to reach that height. At press time "Mi Gente" was jus shy of 500 million views.

On the Billboard charts, "Mi Gente" rises 23-21 on the Hot 100 and remains at No. 2 on the Hot Latin Songs chart (dated Sep. 2). The song is also spending its third consecutive week as Spotify’s No. 1 streaming song worldwide.

Balvin, who made a surprise appearance at Billboard’s Hot 100 Festival on Sunday night (Aug. 20) as a special guest of Major Lazer, has also announced an HBO Latino special called J Balvin Bruutal to air Sep. 8. The special concert was filmed in Medellín and features many superstars, such as Nicky Jam, Yandel, Farruko, Zion & Lennox and Jowell & Randy, among others.
