To help put a few pieces of the puzzle together, below are five things you can expect to see on Mis Planes Son Amarte.
Star-studded cameos
A couple of Juanes' parceros will make a cameo throughout his journey, specifically when he arrives to his hometown of Medellín, Colombia. Those cameos include reggaetón superstar J Balvin and legendary soccer player Juan Pablo Ángel.
Family affair
Juanes' three children sing the chorus on one of the album's most powerful tracks. The song is about bringing love and peace to the world.
Juanes sings en Inglés
The Grammy- and Latin Grammy-winning artist includes his first-ever English song on Mis Planes Son Amarte titled "Goodbye for Now." Juanes tapped producer PooBear for the track.
Collab with Kali Uchis
Juanes gets funky in a collaboration with fellow Colombian singer/songwriter Kali Uchis on the sultry track "Un ratico." It's the first time the two musicians work together. Also be on the lookout for Fonseca's feature, which Juanes discussed on the Latin Connection Podcast.
?HBO special
Following the release of Mis Planes Son Amarte, HBO Latino will premiere a special feature on Juanes titled The Juanes Effect: De Canciones Y Transformaciones, which will air May 19. The episode will include special interviews followed by an in-studio concert where the singer/songwriter will perform new tracks.
