After three years without new music, Romeo Santos' new single "Héroe favorito" is finally here.

The King of Bachata released the song earlier than expected on Tidal and iTunes after the audio from the track leaked over the weekend. Today (Feb. 13), the new tune is available on all digital platforms.

"Héroe favorito" drops just in time for Valentine's Day with swooning lyrics and verses only Santos can deliver: "If I was Batman, there would be no nights of fear ... The batcave would be our love nest."

The Bronx-born singer told Billboard in a previous interview that the song was about a girl he's infatuated with and wants to be her superhero to protect her.

"Her parents are trying to set her up with this other guy. At least from my perspective, she's not too enthusiastic about it, so in my imagination, I'm like, if I were a superhero I would protect her. I have strength like Hulk, climb up 100 feet to her balcony like Spider-Man, a lot of metaphors."

For the single's new cover art, the Bronx-born singer teamed up with Marvel to create his own to design a superhero version of himself. "I always had this fascination with superheroes," Santos told Billboard. "Who didn't love Hulk and Spider-Man?"

"Héroe favorito" is Santos' first single from his forthcoming studio album Golden, expected to drop later this year.  Listen to the track below.
