The Texas Tejano/Norteno band and the Spanish singer make holiday visits to the children at cancer hospital.

The Texas Tejano/Norteno band Intocable and the Spanish singer Shaila Durcal have joined children's cancer hospital St. Jude’s holiday drive. The campaign's goal is to provide free services to kids in need of care, “because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.”

Durcal -- whose mother, “Queen of Ranchera” Rocio Durcal, died of uterine cancer in 2006 -- visited with children at the renowned hospital and toured the campus of the Memphis, Tenn., facility.

“The best is to be with the kids and give them the gift of a smile,” Durcal said in a video of the visit being used to promote the campaign.

Six members of Intocable made their own pledge to St. Jude’s, and are asking their fans to make donations for young patients with terminal illnesses.

Durcal and Intocable join the many Latin artists who have visited the hospital in the past to support the holiday “Thanks and Giving” campaign, including Prince Royce, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, El Dasa, Chino y Nacho and Leslie Grace. Pop singer Luis Fonsi is the Thanks and Giving spokesman.
