Mexico City mega festival reveals two-day line-up

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Prophets of Rage, Zoé, Hombres G, Julieta Venegas, Jarabe de Palo, Babasónicos, Mon Laferte and Enanitos Verdes are among the headliners announced for 2017’s Vive Latino.

In its 18th edition, the massive festival will bring Latin rock and pop legends and rising alternative bands together at Mexico City’s Foro Sol on March 18 and 19.

As in past years, the line up for Latin America’s most prestigious rock festival will also include English speaking bands, with supergroup Prophets of Rage and singer-songwriter Jake Bugg slated to perform.

Among the 80-plus scheduled acts is the unexpected choice of Regional Mexican group Bronco, who were among the leaders of the pop-influenced grupera movement in the 1980s and 1990s. Following the death of two of its members, the group has recently made a comeback.
