The life story of one of the most iconic Latin American bands, Los Tigres del Norte, is hitting the big screen in a new documentary titled Jefes de Jefes

The film, directed by Mexican cinematographer Olallo Rubio, just premiered its first teaser -- in which the chart-topping group's frontman, Jorge Hernández, tells the story of how the band got together, and the challenges they faced in its early stages. 

"I never wanted to be a musician, I wanted to go to school and become someone ... Now that I have the chance to speak to all these people, it's amazing, because I never expected to be here," the "Somos más americanos" singer says in the video.  

The trailer also includes interviews with musicians like Elijah Wald and Ry Cooder, journalists, and actress Kate del Castillo, who all talk about the impact Los Tigres del Norte have had in the music industry and Latin community. 

Jefes de Jefes will bow in Mexican and U.S. theaters in 2017. Watch the complete trailer below:
