Selena Gomez's heartfelt and emotional acceptance speech at the American Music Awards on Nov. 20 inspired singer/songwriter Leslie Grace to cover Gomez's "The Heart Wants What It Wants" for her latest Instagram #GraceJamzz session.

The 21-year-old singer shared her rendition of the track on social media captioning her posts: "In honor of Selena Gomez's beautiful acceptance speech at the AMA's ... tag someone your heart just wants."

After taking some time off away from the spotlight, Gomez broke her silence at the AMAs with an inspiring message to those, who like her, feel "broken."

"I think it's safe to say that a lot of you know a lot of my life whether I liked it or not and I had to stop. Because I had everything, and I was absolutely broken. And I kept it together and I swore I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down. I'm not trying to get validation, nor do I need it anymore ... If you are broken, you don't have to stay broken."
