Shakira Gives Behind-the-Scenes Look Into Recording 'Chantaje' With Maluma: Watch

If you've heard "Chantaje," the sexy new track by Shakira featuring fellow Colombian Maluma, you're likely hooked on the bumping Latin beat. And if you're wondering how the track was done -- Did Shakira and Maluma go to the studio together? Write together? -- Shakira has all the answers to your questions.

During the weekend, Shak took to social media to share a sequence of clips showing what happened in the studio with Maluma while recording “Chantaje.”

The first video, published on Saturday (November 5), shows both superstars talking about their voices while listening carefully to the results of the recording.

In the second video (released the next day), Shakira was surprised by Maluma’s knowledge, and all he knows about famous duo Pimpinela. Watch what happened:


If those videos are not enough, a third video (shared Nov. 7) shows the two actually recording their parts. After all of the debate over specifics of the track, they seem to be more than satisfied with the results.
