“Madonna is in Cuba” gushed a headline on Granma, the official Cuban newspaper that has suddenly grown accustomed to reporting the comings and going of American musical celebrities, including Beyonce, Katy Perry, Jay Z, Usher and Ozzy Osbourne. Confirming her presence in the Cuban capitol, Madonna tweeted a photo of herself under the title "Cuba Libre."

Long known as Cuban music fan (she also has a daughter, Lourdes, with Cuban dancer Carlos León), Madonna showed off her local sabor dancing on a table shortly after her arrival on the island Monday (Aug. 15) in celebration of her 58th birthday, according to the website CiberCuba, which published this video:

The star was also caught by Cuban paparazzi as she walked down the street in Old Havana with a group that included her son David, accompanied by Cuban-accented shouts of “I love you Madonna.”

According to Granma, Madonna -- who was seen driving around in a ’57 Chevy convertible -- will be in Havana until Wednesday.
