Today, Billboard exclusively debuts the show’s opening credits and its Latin pop theme song, sung by the Latin-Grammy winning, Los Angeles-based Guatemalan singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno.

Craig Gerber, Elena de Avalor’s creator, executive producer and lyricist, told Billboard that he’s listened to Moreno’s music “over and over” while working on the Disney series.

“She’s taking these traditional styles and blending them with new styles,” he said of Moreno’s habitual bilingual fusion of classic Latin genres, alternative pop, blues, boleros and jazz. “That’s what we wanted to do for the show.”
