"I feel very proud and honored to represent my genre in this prestigious event and to be recognized by the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame with the Premio Triunfador," Yandel said in a statement. "I can't wait to share this new achievement with my fans and the highly acclaimed group of musicians that will participate in the ceremony."

Desmond Child and Rudy Pérez, founders of the hall of fame, praised the Puerto Rican reggaetonero for his achievements: "Yandel has created his own musical style ... He continues to inspire millions of listeners around the world, breaking barriers that demonstrate that with every song that he writes, the sky and the soul have no limits. Yandel is a hero not only for the Puerto Rican pueblo but for Latinos everywhere."

Yandel joins Prince Royce, Miguel and Fonseca, who have been awarded with the Premio Triunfador in past years.

During the fourth annual La Musa Awards, Los Temerarios, Robi Draco Rosa, Alejandro Jean, Claudia Brant, Miguel Luna and Cheo Zorrilla will be inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame. They will also be honored with the silver La Musa trophy statuette.
