Ana Rosa Santiago has been appointed to the new role of VP Latin Music for Universal Music Publishing Group, effective immediately.

Santiago will report to Alexandra Lioutikoff, UMPG’s newly appointed (March) EVP of Latin Music, who came to UMPG after a longtime stint as ASCAP’s head of Latin membership.

Santiago also comes from ASCAP, where she long worked under Lioutikoff running ASCAP’s operations in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and signed a long list of key acts, including Daddy Yankee, Tito El Bambino and Luis Fonsi.

Santiago will step into a newly created A&R and synch role, where she’ll sign and develop talent and work to create cross border creative opportunities for UMPG songwriters, in addition to promoting and monetizing UMPG’s extensive Latin catalog.

“I’ve known Ana Rosa for most of her career,” said Lioutikoff in a statement. “Her strong ability to identify A&R opportunities early is a key strength, and her relationships with writers, artists, publishers and PRO’s will provide us with a clear competitive advantage at the highest level.”

“It is a great honor to be working with Alexandra and the team to serve the amazing writers, composers and music creators of our industry,” added Santiago.
