Los Fabulosos Cadillacs have released the “first act” of La Salvación de Solo y Juan, a rock concept album that comes seven years after the three-decade old band’s last studio full-length.
The Cadillacs will present the album live at Buenos Aires’ Luna Park on May 28, a day after its release. In the U.S., the band will perform at Chicago’s Ruido Fest on July 10. Dates have also been announced for Santiago, Chile's Movistar Arena (June 4) and Mexico City’s Palcio de los Deportes (October 19), part of what is expected to be an extensive tour in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe.
Flavio Cianciarulo, the band’s bassist, previously told Billboard that the 14 songs he wrote with frontman Vicentico for the album constitute a “rock opera.”
